After your initial contact via phone or email, the Patient Care Coordinator will contact you, investigate your interests, and set an appointment for you, and then send you a few forms to fill out about your demographics and history, this will facilitate your consult significantly.
For your first visit: Please bring a list of your current prescriptions, amounts and dosages, including diet pills, aspirin, green tea, herbs and supplements. No surgery will be performed on your first visit. The consultation is very important so, extra time is scheduled to allow Dr. Robinson to evaluate your detailed history and perform a physical. It takes time to get to know you well enough to understand and evaluate your needs. Then “Dr. Chili” will explain the options and procedures, answer your questions as we customize a plan for you.
Scheduling: At your initial consultation another visit might be scheduled, giving you the additional opportunity to ask questions and clarify anything you may not understand. Plan to be seen after your surgery. Postoperative visits (care directly related to surgery) are included in the surgical fee. Surgery is done in an office if appropriate and you can return to the comfort of your home once you are stable. You MUST HAVE A RESPONSIBLE ADULT care for you the first night.
As you think about planning for the surgery, please think about who will care for you, how to take time away from your usual duties, travel plans, and bring your appointment calendar. For example, with a breast augmentation, it takes about one week until you are able to lift 15 pounds (even your infant can exceed that).
Fees & Financing: For your convenience, we accept credit and debit cards. We also have independent financing. Fees include the surgeon, accredited ambulatory surgery, anesthesia, and follow-up care. Not included are medications, and special garments. At the time of scheduling, 50 percent is due. The balance is to be paid one week in advance of the surgery date. There is a 50 percent cancellation fee to defray the costs of the personnel, lost surgery time, and materials.
Insurance: Insurance is not accepted, as cosmetic expectations and the degree of expertise are not covered. Full payment is expected before the surgery but you are welcome to file for insurance. Reimbursement from insurance (if any) will go directly to you.
Medicare: We do not take Medicare.
Surgery: Most of the LipoSelection we perform in the office under tumescent local anesthesia. We perform all larger cosmetic surgical procedures, including facelifts, tummy tucks, and liposuction as an outpatient. Depending upon your anesthesia, surgery might be performed in an accredited Out Patient Surgery center. The facility fee is due in advance. For general anesthesia, we go to the nearby Southwest Surgical Hospital in Hurst.
Emergency Care: Emergency care for our established patients is available 24 hours a day. Should you experience any difficulties, call 817-718-0101. A call during the day may avoid a late-night emergency room visit or search for an open pharmacy.
